The Chairman State Post Primary Schools Service Commission Lady Joy Ulasi has advised parents to always invest in the education of their children.
Speaking while monitoring resumption of schools for the second term in the 2016/2017 academic session across the state, Lady Joy while stressing the need for parents to accord priority to the education of their children urged parents and guardians whose children and wards are yet to return to school for the second term, to release them immediately.
She enjoined parents to take advantage of Governor Willie Obiano’s removal of sundry levies in schools to give their children quality education.
The schools monitored by the Chairman of the Post Primary schools Service Commission in Awka zone were Union Secondary School Amawbia and Community Secondary school, Agu-Awka -Awka while in Onitsha zone, she visited Eastern Academy secondary school, Onitsha, Army Day Secondary school Onitsha and Unity Comprehensive Secondary school, Okpoko.
At Community Secondary School Agulu-Awka, the Principal, Lady Anthonia Agudosi, was seen having resumption meeting with tutorial and non-tutorial staff of the school.
At Eastern Academy, Army Day Secondary School Onitsha and Unity Comprehensive Secondary School Okpoko students and teachers turned out en-masse for the resumption.
The Chairman commended the Principals of the schools visited for the level of discipline exhibited by students.
