The Chairman of Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Barrister Chike Maduekwe, has called on Presidents-General and traditional rulers of various communities in the state to sensitize their youths to refrain from trespassing on government land or face the full weight of the law.
Barrister Mmaduekwe, who made the call after an enforcement exercise by officials of the State Joint Taskforce on demolition of illegal structures in Onitsha, said in coming days, there will be massive prosecution of persons who venture into sale of government lands across the state.
He bemoaned the increasing rate at which youths in communities trespass on government lands, warning that henceforth, anyone caught will be charged to court.
Barrister Mmaduekww also advised developers against offering bribes to development control agents of government in order to allow them perpetrate all forms of illegality, warning that the Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration will not allow such to happen.
