The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it will display the physical register at designated centres across the eight thousand eight hundred and nine Registration centres and seven hundred and seventy-four Local Government Areas nationwide from twelfth to twenty-fifty of next Month.
The Chairman of the Commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, who disclosed this at the third quarterly meeting with the media for the year 2022 in Abuja, appealed to Nigerians to properly scrutinize the physical register
He said the Commission has rigorously cleaned up the data using the Automated Biometric Identification System, since it suspended the Continuous Voter Registration exercise.
Professor Yakubu enjoined the public to carefully examine the list to make objections and claims that will enable the commission do the final clean-up of the registered voters for the 2023 General Election.
The President, of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Mr Christopher Isiguzo, who was represented by the National Treasurer, Mr Tony Bamidele, expressed worries over the unprofessional conduct of political parties, saying that they should be guided by the electoral laws.
