The need for Governor Willie Obiano’s second tenure has been stressed.
The Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Engineer Mike Ogbuekwe, stressed the need during an ABS Enterprise Academy Phone-in programme in Awka.
Engineer Ogbuekwe, who appreciated the numerous achievements of the present administration in all sectors in the state, especially in the agricultural sector, noted that the only way to sustain the even distribution of democracy dividends in the state is for Ndi Anambra to give their mandate to Governor Obiano for the second tenure.
Engineer Ogbuekwe, disclosed that the present administration has created enabling environment for agriculture to thrive as it remains its strongest Pillar, calling on residents of the state to key into the state government’s farming initiative to ensure food sufficiency in the state.
He also assured that the just released economic stimulus package would help to cushion the impact of the present economic recession on the citizenry.
Emphasizing the need for synergy in the state rice production, Engineer Ogbuekwe called on youths in the state to key into the production as a way out of hunger.
Contributing, a lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Tina Agbionu, said the present situation in the country is a call to embrace agriculture.
Mr. Raphael from Owerri-Ezikeala, among others to commended the efforts of the state governor so far in the state and support a second tenure.
