Anambra State Government will soon take delivery of the brand New Digital ABS Studios in Awka.

The hint was given by the Contractors handling the projects, COMFAX Ltd, on the heels of a tour of the level of work at the sites by the ABS Board of Directors.

The Board took a tour of the Awka studio and Enugwu-Ukwu station.

The new studio building in Awka which is still under construction contains both TV and Radio Studios which houses the Reception, standard VIP Room, kitchen, Power room for UPS three radio studios Recording, 2 Changing make up rooms, MCR, Video Editing room, live Recording virtual Studio, among others.
The equipments and gadgets have already arrived the State as well.

Giving an assessment of the pace of work, the Chairman Board of Directors of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr. Nnaemeka Mmaduegbuna said the work progress is reasonable and considerable, but there is still some more work to be done, expressing optimism that the work will be completed in record time, pointing out that the firm handling the project have given indication about things that needs to be done which will hopefully be addressed.

Expressing delight at the level of support by the State government, judging from the amount of resources already put into the project, Mr. Mmaduegbuna appreciated Governor Obiano and called on the people to play their own part of support the efforts of the present administration.


According to the Engineer representing the COMFAX Limited, work progress has been continuous since inception of the project, equipments for the TV and fm Studios have already been supplied, but waiting for the studio building to be completed to start installations, and appreciated the level of cooperation between his firm and the State government, in optimism that it will continue.


Also part of the tour were the MD/CEO ABS, Nze Uche Nworah, Education Commissioner, Professor Kate Omenugha, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communication Strategy, Mr. PC Umerah, Traditional Ruler of Nteje, Igwe Roland Odegbo among others, whose questions were fielded by the Contractors handling the project.
