The remains of Sir Cosmos Oguejiofor, popularly known as Agbadijulueju-Aghalieaku have been buried at his country home, Orji village Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Council Area after a Holy Mass at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Enugwu-Ukwu with family members, relatives, dignitaries, friends and well-wishers from across the state in attendance.
Sir Cosmos, who was a member of the Knight of St. Mulumba, Awka Sub Council, died at the age of sixty-two leaving behind his wife, four children, and brothers including Mr. Valentine Oguejiofor of the Anambra Broadcasting Service.
In a sermon during the burial mass, Reverend Father Clement Muozoba from Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Amikwo Awka, described late Sir Cosmos as a quiet and decent man, who handled the post of Treasurer in almost all the association he belonged to, which was a testimony of his uprightness.
Reverend Father Muozoba, who described death as inevitable, urged the people to be prepared at all times and strive to be at peace with God.
Speaking, the first son of the deceased, Engineer Gozie Oguejiofor and the first daughter, Miss Kosara Oguejiofor said the exit of their father left a vacuum in their lives and promised to carry on with his legacies.
The brothers, Messrs. Jude and Valentine Oguejiofor said their late brother was a father to the entire Oguejiofor family and prayed God to give them the grace to carry on from where he stopped.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Dr. Uche Nworah, who came to commiserate with the family disclosed that the deceased was a member of Enugwu-Ukwu Iguaro Commission and prayed for the repose of his soul and God’s protection upon the family.
Others including Mr. Ben Ekweonu, a former ABS Acting Managing Director, Head of Station ABS Onitsha, Mrs. Ifeoma Udechukwu, Grand Commander, Knight of St Mulumba Sub Council, Awka, Sir Edwin Ikeotuonye, and the deceased Secondary School mate, Pastor Austine Aghaeze bore testimonies to the life of the deceased and asked the family to take solace in the lord.
Correspondent Oggorchukwu Oranu reports that condolences by Class of 1980 set, Saint Michael’s Secondary School, Nimo, Executive of Enugwu-Ukwu Iguaro Commission, Knights and Ladies of St. Mulumba, Federal College of Education, Technical Umunze, ABS family among others featured during the burial.
