The Traditional Rulers Wives Association, Anambra State, have donated items worth thousands of naira to the inmates at the home for the mentally challenged, in Nteje, Oyi Council Area of Anambra State. 
The items includes bags of rice, beans, tubers of yam, detergents, noodles, biscuits, groundnut oil and red oil. 


Others includes vegetables, baskets of okro, garri, toiletry, bunch of plantain among other things. 


Our Women Affairs Correspondent, Amaka Okoye, was among the entourage and reports that Ndi Oche Eze Igwe who expressed satisfaction  with what they saw at the home, thanked the Obiano administration more especially, the wife of the governor Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, for her human disposition to the less privileged. 


Speaking through their Chairperson, Lolo Maureen Ezeh who is the Wife of the traditional ruler of Abba, said that the gesture was to support the good work of Dr Mrs. Obiano for ridding in the streets of lunatics  and catering for them stating that indeed, she meant well for the state. 
Lolo Ezeh encouraged the management of the home to keep the work going as the inmates were in good condition and sound health, commending  the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue for nurturing and accommodating the inmates and prayed God to be her strength. 


In her response on behalf of the state  government, the Commissioner For Children And Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue ,extolled Ndi Oche Eze for finding out time  to donate to the needy, saying that Dr  Mrs. Obiano is doing marvelously well to better the lives of those in need by putting smiles on their faces.
