In a bid to ensure free flow of traffic and clean environment at various Markets, the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra OCHA Brigade team, has commenced a sensitization visit to Markets across the commercial city of Onitsha.

Across flashpoints all around the city, traders were warned to clean and move away from the drainage system, while motorists were urged to shun loading and unloading of passengers along the road.
The team Led by the Commander OCHA Brigade Anambra North Senatorial District Mr Hilary Udeano while addressing the traders at Morre Street Market Onitsha commended them for their orderliness which prompted the construction of drums filled with concrete aimed at protecting the traders’ shops as well as to ensure free flow of traffic along the Market.
Mr Udeano urged them to take ownership of the project.
In an interview the Chairman Amobi Plaza Morre Street Market, Mr John Nwankwo while commending the State Government for the gesture, pledged the traders readiness to take full ownership of the project adding that it will go a long way in providing them a conducive environment for their businesses to thrive.

The team later moved to Okwie Street Main Market where transporters and food vendors obstructing traffic were warned to desist forthwith.
Other Flash points visited include New Market Road by Williams Street, Lagos and Asaba parks, Upper Iweka, Owerri Road as well as MCC Junction of Enugu Onitsha Expressway where the traders and Motorists were advised to move into the Markets and Parks respectively or face the full weight of the law.
