The Head of Service, Mr Harry Udu says plans have been perfected to commence the construction of a Housing Estate in Isiagu Awka South Local Government Area for public servants.
Addressing Heads of various Departments in his office at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat complex in Awka Mr Uduh disclosed that an executive committee to ensure that all bottlenecks that is holding the commencement of work on the Estate has been set up by the government.
Mr Udu, a lawyer, urged workers to be security-conscious of their working environment at all times to help safe guard lives and property.
According to the Head of Service the State government will introduce an identification badge for civil servants for easy identification.
He disclosed that plan to commence a training programme for civil servants is being worked out for optimal performance of the State workforce.
In a remark, Reverend Father Livinus Udemba from the Ministry of Transport, enjoined the Head of Service to continue to uphold the interest of civil servants and assured him of their loyalty to the State government.
The Acting Director, in charge of Public Service, Office of the Head of Service, Mr Ojeyinka Adebayo commended the Head of Service for the briefing and urged workers to rally round him for efficient service delivery.
