Governor Willie Obiano says his administration is not going back on its campaign promises of improving the welfare of Ndi Anambra.
He stated this while commiserating with Evangelist Dr. Emmanuel Anachor on the death of his mother in law, Mrs Florence Ezenwanne of Enuama Ifite village, Ezinifite, Aguata Local Government Area.
Bright Nnachi, reports that the MD/CEO of the ABS, Mr Uche Nworah, was among other friends and well wishers of the MD/CEO, Kairos Electronics, Evangelist Anachor, who accompanied him on the condolence visit to his in-laws.
Governor Obiano, represented by his SSA on Youth Mobilization, Comrade Tony Uche, Ezekwelu, said that meeting the needs of the citizenry remains his top priority, adding that he would continue to reel off more robust projects that would benefit the people.
He implored the family to see the departed as a source of joy, happiness and encouragement to their family owing to her exemplary dispositions while on earth, urging the children to emulate their mother’s Christ like virtues which he described as rare.
Mr Nworah accompanied by Mr Jude Mascot Obiagwu, described death as inevitable and a debt everybody must pay someday, saying that what matters on earth is ones contributions to humanity and not the amount of wealth accumulated and prayed for her peaceful transition to glory.
He noted that ABS would continue to identify and show solidarity to their sponsors and partners at all times assuring of more packages and programmes for their audience.
In a description of her late mother, Mrs Chioma Anachor, said she was a hard working, God-fearing and a virtuous mother, who devoted her time to the things of God and who ensured that her children are raised in the ways of the Lord. In a response, Evangelist Anachor said the visit was to give his mother in law the last respect she deserves and to show concern to the people she left behind as rightly stated by the Igbo tradition and culture as well as the Bible.
These however, are what he has to say about his mother in law.
While expressing the hope that she is in a better place where she is resting in the hands of his peaceful acquaintance, Evangelist Anachor thanked everybody who rallied round him to ensure the success of the event and prayed God to reward them accordingly.
