Governor Willie Obiano says his second term will witness the deployment of Information Communication Technology in crime fighting and

sustained effort at revolutionizing the agricultural sector, improved health reforms, increased support to small and medium scale Enterprises, among numerous other welfare packages.

 

Speaking at the Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka shortly after his inauguration for a second term, Governor Obiano noted that he is mindful of the task ahead with the overwhelming support given to him and will utilize the renewed mandate to promote the frontiers of excellence in governance.

 

Governor Obiano thanked Ndi Anambra for their massive endorsement that guaranteed his second term, assuring them that their decision has availed his administration, the infinite capacity to change the story of the State for the better.

 

Governor Obiano and his Deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke, were administered with the Oaths of office and allegiance, by the State Chief Judge, Justice Peter Umeadi.

 

The ceremony attracted dignitaries from within and outside the state who came to felicitate with the Governor and Ndi Anambra, notable of whom were Governors Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, David Umahi Ebonyi, Okezie Ikpeazu Abia, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi Enugu, Ayo Fayose Ekiti, former Anambra State Governor’s, Doctors Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Chinwoke Mbadinuju, Chris Ngige, and Dame, Virgie Etiaba,

 

Other dignitaries include former Governor, Chimaraoke Nnamani of Enugu State, former Senate President, Dr Ken Nnamani, Members of the State and National Assemblies, captains of industry, the religious among others.

 

The arrival of Governor Obiano in the company of his wife, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu, and his subsequent mounting of the Diaz to take salute from a colour party by the men of the Nigerian Police Force, signaled the commencement of the event.
