Fire Ignited By 2 Year Old Child Destroys Property Worth Millions Of Naira In Onitsha

Property worth millions of naira were lost when the first floor of a storey building at Number Twenty-one Ugwunakpankpa Road, Inland Town Onitsha was gutted by fire.

The fire destroyed everything in the floor except the academic certificate of one of the occupants of the building.

Sympathizers were seen at the scene of the incident condoling the victims, while the men of the fire service with their equipment were also seen trying to contain the inferno.

According to an eye witness, who is also an occupant of the building, Mr. Walter Okoli, the fire was caused by a two year old child who allegedly ignited the fire with matches and put it on a foam in their room.
