The Post Primary Schools Service Commission, PPSSC, Awka, has organized capacity building workshop for the newly recruited teachers in Anambra State.
Queen Anigbogu reports that during the workshop the new teachers drawn from the six education zones of the state were engaged with experienced facilitators and experts in the field who guided them on topics that addressed challenges and opportunities they will encounter as teachers.
In her address, the PPSSC Chairman, Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu, appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for offering the job to the teachers, and for ensuring that things go well in the education sector of the state, saying that the aim of the training was to ensure that the teachers are well equipped to provide quality education to children in the state.
She described the training as a significant milestone, not only for the teachers, but also for the entire education sector, adding that as teachers, they are entrusted with the noble responsibility of shaping the minds of future leaders; and as such should inspire and motivate the students so as to contribute to the overall development of the state.
