Okpoko community in Ogbaru Council Area has pledged their unalloyed support to Governor Willie Obiano’s second term bid.
The Community made the pledge during a town hall meeting organized by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters Comrade Arinzechukwu Awogu held at Okpoko Town Hall.
The town hall meeting which attracted Community leaders, Youths, Okpoko Traditional Ruler, APGA Stakeholders among others was aimed at assuring Governor Obiano of their total support.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at the meeting, Comrade Awogu commended the people for their solidarity to the Governor, adding that Governor Obiano meant well for the people of the community and will always remember them.
Comrade Awogu informed the people on the need to obtain and safeguard their permanent voter’s card which according o him is their weapon of warfare in time of election adding that their solidarity to Governor Obiano will not be complete without their voter’s card.
He maintained that the State government is aware of their challenges which include pedestrian bridge and good road network and assured them of government’s readiness to address the issues.
Contributing, the traditional ruler of Okpoko Chief Muofunanya assured the Governor of their unflinching support come November eighteenth 2017.
On his part, the President-general of Okpoko community, Chief Edwin Emensinwa assured Governor Obiano of their total support, promising him hundred per cent victory from the community during the forthcoming Governorship election.
Chief Emensinwa who solicited for the construction of Pedestrian bridge and reconstruction of roads as well as control of erosion in Okpoko, pointed out that Okpoko Community is for APGA.
