The mother of the Governor of Anambra state and matriarch of the Obiano family in Aguleri, Mrs Christiana Obiano is dead.

In a press statement issued on behalf of Governor Willie Obiano, Anambra state Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy, Ogbuefi Tony Nnachetta said that Mrs Obiano who was 90 years old died at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi on Friday, June 2nd, 2017.

It also said that the Obiano family will make further announcements.

Our thoughts are with the Obiano family at this time as they mourn the passing of their matriarch.
