Anambra State Government has initiated move to reclaim land reportedly seized from Community Secondary School Obosi, with the Physical Planning Board leading the efforts.

 

In an interview with the Anambra Broadcasting Service, the Global President of the School Alumni, Sir Ifeatu Obi, revealed that approximately a one hundred and seventy acres of school land had been illegally sold to developers by land grabbers over three years ago.

Sir Ifeatu expressed satisfaction with the prompt response from the state government and highlighted the association’s ongoing infrastructural projects at the school to include, construction of ICT centers for hundred students, smart classrooms, borehole, a bakery for skill acquisition, and perimeter fencing.

 

On his part, the Chairman of the Physical Planning Board and leader of the enforcement team, Barrister Chike Maduekwe, stated that Governor Chukwuma Soludo was deeply sad when he received the news of the land and he quickly set up a committee which has Air Vice Marshal Chiobi as chairman to investigate the matter.
