The Oyi Elders Consultative Forum, a social political organization with the aim of galvanizing Ndi Oyi for the development of the area, has been inaugurated, its new office opened, even as they endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for second term in office because of his developmental strides across Anambra state.

 

In his welcome address during the event held at their office in Nteje, the Chairman of the forum, Chief Chidiebele Obika, who said that the forum was formed in 2023, explained that members cut across all political parties and the five communities of the local government who distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavour, and are equally interested in the development of the area.

Also speaking, the member representing Oyi/ Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Honnourable Maureen Gwacham, thanked those who conceptualized the formation of the forum, describing it as a step in the right direction in moving Oyi Council Area forward politically and otherwise, pledging his support to the forum at all times.

For a patron of the forum, former Governorship candidate in Anambra and foremost industrialist, Dr Chike Obidigbo, the forum marks a timely initiative which recognizes the enduring value of wisdom, experience and unity, adding that it will serve as a beacon of stability, dialogue and progress.
