The Los Angeles Chapter of Awka Union of USA and Canada has handed over a renovated laboratory block at Girls Secondary School, Amaenyi, Awka to the school.
The handover ceremony, which took place in the school premises, saw students, teachers and management of the school jubilating after the science laboratory, science teachers office, stores and rest rooms were commissioned.
Commissioning the building, the Chairman, Post Primary School Service Commission, Professor Nkechi Ikediegwu, while lauding the initiative, said the laboratories would help in the educational advancement of the students, as it will give required boost in improving quality of education.
Speaking at the event, Mr Obi Muoneke; on behalf of the group, revealed that they equipped Kenneth Dike Library Computer Lab with computers, renovated classrooms at Igwebuike Grammar School, Awka, and gave scholarship to students, revealed that their vision is to boost technological advancement among schoolchildren.
