The Anaocha Local Government Area Mayor, Comrade Rome Ibekwe has enrolled over one thousand Ndi Anaocha into Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme, ASHIA to give them   access to quality healthcare.

Correspondent, Chinelo Onwuzulike reports that while addressing the gathering at Anaocha Local Government Headquarters, Neni, Comrade Ibekwe who said the enrollment is in partnership with St. Cletus Hospital Neni noted that healthcare is essential considering what people are experiencing presently, noting that the initiative would give the people at the rural area including the aged, pregnant women and many others access to free healthcare services.

Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of St. Cletus Hospital, Neni, Mr Calistus Obianodo, maintained that it was  part of their interventions  to partner with Anaocha Mayor to improve the life of  their people, adding that  with the level of poverty in the society, those who benefited have added much to their lives and called on other privileged members to toe this part and help the poor to gain access to health services.

An official from the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme, ASHIA, Mrs Ngozi Agejelu explained the modalities of the scheme and benefits attached to it, which she said has helped in saving lives, through reduced cost  to give people easy  access to healthcare services
