Chief Inno-Posh Chikezie, has empowered twenty indigent men from the community with brand new motorcycles worth more than one point five million naira each, and presented a cheque of one million naira and a laptop computer to the community health facility, Saint Charles Galaxy Hospital, Ichida.

 

Queen Anigbogu reports that speaking on the reason for the gesture, the benefactor, Chief Chikezie; accompanied by his wife, Ebele, explained that the motorcycles were given to the men selected from the twenty villages that make up Ichida to enable them cater for themselves and their families, and prayed God to give them grace and peace in Ichida, promising to do more for the community.

In their remarks, the Mayor of Anaocha Council Area, Mr Romanus Ibekwe, and the President General of Ichida Progress Union, Chief Uchenna Enechi, who gave the beneficiaries tips on how to achieve success with the motorcycles, noted that the empowerment was aimed at taking the beneficiaries out of poverty, and commended Chief Chiekezie for being supportive to the community and the council area.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Pastor Destiny Ezeokeke and the Manager of the community hospital, Reverend Father Augustine Igwebuike, described the gesture as first of its kind in Ichida and worthy of emulation, and prayed God to always meet the benefactor at the point of his own need.
