Since the creation of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has distinguished himself as the only Governor that is developing all sectors simultaneously under thirty-seven months.

The Governor has raised the standard of education in Anambra State and has employed   over eight thousand teachers; instituted free education for nursery, primary and secondary schools and has commenced the process of  paying bursary allowance to indigent students in public tertiary institutions as well as entrenched high moral and academic standards in schools. These have repositioned Anambra State as the leading light in education in Nigeria.

In the Health sector, the Governor’s free antenatal and free delivery policy has drastically reduced maternal and infant mortality. No wonder other women from other states now come to Anambra State for free antenatal and safe delivery of their babies.

Again, through mass infrastructural development, quality road network, bridges and erosion control projects are crisscrossing all parts of the state and has made the state a reference point in delivery of democracy dividends in the country.

.No wonder The Sun and Vanguard Newspapers crowned  Governor  Soludo as The Best Governor of the Year.

Before the emergence of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as executive governor of Anambra State, communities in Awka North Local Government Area had no  tarred roads. But today, Governor Soludo in fulfilment of his promises has  constructed quality  tarred roads with stone base foundation from Amansea town to Awba Ofemili, passing through Ebenebe, Ugbenu and Ugbene towns. He also constructed the  road from Isuaniocha to Achalla.

Governor  Soludo has equally upgraded  three healthcare centres in Achalla with  quality  facilities and personnel as well as resuscitated abandoned water borehole facilities at Achalla with modern water reticulation and supply equipment,  powered by solar  energy  facilities to supply regular water to the people of the community.

The Governor’s   transformation of Awka North Local Government Area is aimed at repositioning  the area for effective harnessing of its huge agricultural potential to achieve food security and restore the past glory of Achalla town.

To complement development agenda of the Governor, Achalla community under the leadership of its President -General, Mr Nnamdi Ikwunne has embarked on various development projects including plans  to build three hundred shops at Oye Achalla  through Public Private Partnership Model of community development.

Despite all these interventions by the Governor towards transforming Achalla community, there are still many development needs and challenges of the community including construction of  more roads to give easy access to farmlands to boost the agricultural economy of Anambra State.

There is also need to construct quality roads linking Achalla community to  communities in Ayamelum and  Anambra East local government areas as well as Enugu State.

Industrial investment in Achalla community will accelerate rural development,  create jobs for  youths and  raise the standard of living of the people.

There is also need for world class Specialist Hospital, tertiary institutions  ultramodern market and pipe borne water for integrated development.

All these are road map toward consolidating Anambra State as a liveable and prosperous homeland.

The entire good people of Awka North Local Government Area are solidly behind the  reelection bid of Governor Soludo in the forthcoming November 8, 2025, Anambra State Governorship Election. There is no doubt that his reelection will enable him to complete his vision for the state.
