Construction Work at the Sacamori which started from the Inland Axis of Nkpor/Umuoji down to Owelle-Aja community in Obosi have recorded a remarkable progress.

 

Correspondent, Oggorchukwu Oranu who monitored the progress of work at the site observed that the construction of the drainage system which will control heavy flood that wreaks havoc whenever it rains is ongoing. Commissioner for Works, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma after inspecting the pace of work, said the present administration in it’s quest to address Owelle -Aja flood, discovered that the community is on a flood channel that started from Ogidi to Inland door axis of Nkpor/Umuoji road, down to other areas.

The Works Commissioner Okoma, explained that the project was grouped into three phases, saying that the first phase is what is going on now and the life span of the project is infinite as it is a concrete project.

 

Reacting to the ongoing work project, Mr.Ifeanyi Obijiaku who lives within the area said they have seen improvement in the ongoing flood control which gives them hope of erecting and constructing houses, commending Governor Soludo for the intervention.
