Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to religious tolerance and inclusivity as officials joined the Muslim faithful to break their Ramadan fast at the Awka Central Mosque yesterday.
Speaking at the event during the Friday prayers, the Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Mr. Ossy Onuko, emphasized the importance of unity, peaceful coexistence among different religious groups in the state, acknowledging the sacrificial essence of Ramadan while recognizing the significant role of the Muslim community in Anambra.
Earlier, the State Chairman of the Anambra State Northern Youth Development Association, Alhaji Musa Bello Shelleng, commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his developmental strides in infrastructure, education, security, noting that both the Igbo and Hausa communities in the state have benefited from his leadership qualities, and further praised the improved security situation in Anambra under the Soludo’s administration.
