Governor Chukwuma Soludo says his administration has given out two-point-two million coconut and palm seedlings to two hundred thousand families in Anambra State to pull them out of poverty.
Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that Governor Soludo, who disclosed this during a media chat on his three years anniversary in office, explained that in few years’ time, the seedlings will begin to yield to not only take care of internal food consumption, but will also be exportable produce.
He pointed out that the initiative will also save Anambra; which has a small landmass from erosion, adding that his administration has planted one million trees within the state to stop erosion menace.
