Anambra State government has confirmed that all the arrested native doctors, including Akwaokuko Tiwalu-Aki, Eke Hit, Onye-Eze Jesus, and others, still remain in its custody as investigations are still ongoing.
The state Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, disclosed this in an exclusive interview with ABS while addressing recent social media speculations that some of the arrested native doctors had been released.
Correspondent Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that Dr. Mefor made it clear that his office had never issued any press statement regarding the social media posts which also listed some names of native doctors it says are still under custody, and when they will be arraigned in court.
He reaffirmed that over thirty arrested native doctors, including some of those mentioned in the social media reports, remain in government custody, adding that any of them that substantial evidence will be found against after the ongoing investigation, would be charged to court.
