A proponent of Igbo culture and tradition, Chief Ozoemena Oguegbu has charged various title recipients in Igbo land to avoid acts capable of debasing the title they were conferred with.
Speaking to the ABS at his country home Adazi Ani in Anaocha local government area, Chief Oguegbu who is a member of Nze na Ozo society of the community regretted that many chieftaincy title holders in Igbo land are not living up the standards of their title saying that one of the duties of any title holder in Igbo land is to preserve and protect the culture and tradition of Ndigbo.
Chief Oguegbu who listed many benefits inherent in title taking especially in Igbo land, cautioned the people to desist from seeing culture and tradition as. Fetish and reminded title holders in Igbo land especially members of the prestigious Ozo society to always say the truth and defend it no matter who is involved.
