Construction work on the Ekwulobia flyover is eighty percent complete.
The Assistant Project manager of the construction company handling the project, Engineer Omamifo Nwiwa disclosed this while speaking with ABS Works correspondent Ngozi Obileri who monitored pace and quality of work on the project.
When ABS arrived at the site, it was observed that the beams of the flyover had been cast, while reinforcement of the slab was ongoing.
Workers were also seen working on the foot of the flyover where casting of the foot of the bridge was also ongoing.
Engineer Nwiwa explained that they are presently ahead of schedule , adding that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been consistent in providing finances needed for the work to go on uninterrupted.
He appreciated the communities around the area, especially Ekwulobia for all the support they are providing to ensure that the project is moving on seamlessly.
Engineer Nwiwa said that they will deliver the job before December and expressed happiness and gratitude that they are working for Anambra state at this point in time.
