The people of Achina in Aguata Local Government Area have expressed appreciation to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for embarking on reconstruction of Achina-Onne road, thereby bringing to end their plight on the road.

 

Reacting on the present condition of the road, the President-General of Achina Town Union, Mr Tony Ezenwaka, said the road was impassable before Governor Soludo came to their aid.

According to Mr Ezenwaka, the Ugwu Ngaga axis of the Achina-Onne road has been in deplorable condition for many years, until Governor Soludo came and started reconstruction and checking of erosion menace that has claimed houses and other properties of their people.

 

Mr Ezenwaka, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Anambra State Civil Service, also applauded Governor Soludo for the construction of the nine point four Ezira-Umuomaku-Enugumonyia -Achina road, which he said has been eighty percent asphalted, adding that it clearly shows that the Governor came prepared to deliver dividends of democracy to Ndi Anambra.

He also thanked the Governor for giving their brother, Honourable Anayo Okpalaeke, the opportunity to represent them at the Anambra State House of Assembly, and assured him that while the reconstruction of the Achina-Onne road is hastened before the rains become constant and heavy, he has the support of every Onye Achina because he remembered them in a special way.
