More stakeholders have continued to extol the high quality of road infrastructure constructed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.

Speaking in Awka, the Vice President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene said the roads are of international standards and can stand the test of time.

Paul Ezeokereports that Chief Okeke Ogene noted that all the road projects embarked upon by the present administration have all critical components that would prolong life span of road projects.

He pointed out that the dualized UNIZIK Temporary Site junction to Isuaniocha, Isuofia to Ekwulobia road linking the Ekwulobia Flyover, Ekwulobia to Nanka road, Awka internal road projects, roads in Onitsha, Okpoko and Nnewi among others have wide and concrete drainage systems, stone base, converts and quality asphalting among other components.

According to Chief Okeke Ogene, using a minor defect at a particular point in an ongoing road project caused by rainfall to undermine the good work and remarkable achievements of Governor Soludo is a distraction that is not needed in the state at this point in time.

He noted that while constructive criticisms are necessary to promote good governance, people should not play politics with the collective welfare and future of the state, reminding benefiting communities that the Governor has mandated them to take full ownership of various projects in their areas to ensure that contractors deliver quality job.

Chief Okeke Ogene enjoined various contractors to work according to specifications and ensure that drainages are terminated at proper discharge points.

He expressed satisfaction with the conducive environment in the state and peaceful Easter celebration, urging security agencies to remain alert to preempt antics of criminal elements.

Also speaking, a bus driver, Mr. Linus Okere said the quality roads emerging across the state have made the transport business attractive and lucrative and urged the people to continue with their support to the Governor
