Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim has encouraged couples to always forgive and stand by each other to surmount marital challenges.

The Deputy Governor gave the encouragement at Rhema Deliverance Mission Umunya, in Oyi Local Government Area, during a wedding ceremony of the Senior Pastor of Rhema Deliverance Mission Nnewi, Prophet Ejike Nwachukwu and his heartthrob former Miss Chisom Christopher.

Dr Ibezim who congratulated the new couple encouraged them to always support each other and endure each other’s shortcomings in order to have a successful marriage.

While restating the commitment of the present Professor Chukwuma Soludo led administration to delivering on its mandate, Deputy Governor Ibezim commended the groom for being a good supporter of the government and encouraged him to do more for the good of the state.

Earlier in a sermon, a Guest Preacher at the wedding service, Reverend Don Odunze reminded couples that it takes commitment to build a home, as it helps to make forgiveness possible, noting that what matters is not getting married, but sustaining the marriage.

Reverend Odunze while emphasizing on the need for couples to love, respect and be each other’s confidant, discouraged men from cheating on their wives and being hard on their families, saying that such acts attract God’s wrath.

In an interview, an elder brother of the groom, Dr Amaechi Nwachukwu wished the new couple well and advised them to love and cherish themselves at all times, and to be ready to make sacrifices for the sake of their union.

In their sperate speeches, the newly wedded couple prophet Ejike and Chisom Nwachukwu, thanked God for uniting them in love, praying for understanding and God’s blessing upon them.
