The Obi of Eziora Ozubulu, Chief Nnamdi Ezeani, all his Aka Obi Cabinet Chiefs, and Obi of Egbema Ozubulu, Chief Sylvester Ilona, have joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

 

They officially joined the party during her rally held at the Eze Odenigbo Palace, Eziora Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Council Area.

Also, Bishop Emma Ezeani; in charge of all Sabbath Churches in Ekwusigo Council Area, alongside others numbering over three hundred declared for APGA during the rally.

 

All the new members were formally received, decorated with APGA insignia and given membership cards by major stakeholders of the party present during the rally, including Chairman of the party in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Sir Edwin Ukorah, the Transition Committee Chairman of the local government area, Mr. Chimezie Obi, the APGA State Vice Chairman for Anambra South Senatorial Zone, Mr. Surplus Ewuzie, and Chief Jude Emecheta.

Addressing the crowd, Chief Ezeani said that after observing the works Governor Chukwuma Soludo is doing in Anambra State, and how he partners stakeholders to build the state, he decided to joined APGA to give the Governor open support, stressing that Ward Four Ozubulu is loyal to Governor Soludo.

 

On his part, Chief Ilona said that APGA is a party that has clear mission; hence the need for people to rally round the party for rapid development of the South East.

Bishop Ezeani vowed to mobilize all Sabbatarians in Ekwusigo Council Area and Anambra State in general to support Governor Soludo, saying that for the first time, a sitting Governor in Anambra State included Sabbath Churches in distribution of government largesse.

 

APGA Chairman for Ekwusigo Local Government, Sir Edwin, who is a native of Ozubulu and from Ward Four, said this is the first time a traditional leader in Anambra State is coming out openly to declare for a party.

 

He listed the achievements of the APGA led government in the state and major road works going on in the area, assuring the people that more is coming.

 

The TC Chairman of Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Mr. Obi, who welcomed the new entrants, revealed that they were in YPP, APC, among others, and described APGA as a party of equity.

Goodwill messages came from the member representing Ekwusigo in Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Ikenna Ofodeme, represented by Mr. Ebuka Ofodeme, Commissioner for Housing, Honourable Pauly Onyeka, represented by Mr. Ukachukwu Okonkwo, and the National President of Eziora Ozubulu, Chief Kenechi Anaehobi, who explained that Ward Four Eziora Ozubulu has the highest population in Ekwusigo Council Area with fifty-three polling booths, said any attempt to opt for another candidate other than Governor Chukwuma Soludo will spoil the zoning arrangement in Anambra State.
