The re-elected President General of Umuona Town Union, in Aguata Local Government Area, Chief Ken Okoli has called on the people of Umuona both at home and in the diaspora to always see the development of the community as a collective responsibility.

 

Speaking to Newsmen at his country home Umuona, Chief Okoli maintained that with collaborative effort between the Umuona traditional institution, town Union executive and the people of Umuona, the community will continue to move from strength to strength in terms of development.

 

He thanked the Anambra State Government for providing an enabling environment for the seamless conduct of the town Union election as well as the people of Umuona for the confidence reposed in him and reassured that he will continue to work for the overall good of the community.

 

Chief Okoli used the opportunity to commend the giant strides of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in Anambra State especially in the area of road Infrastructure, human capital development, Health Care delivery, Education among others and called on the people of the State to continue with their support and prayers to his administration.

 

He said that the relative peace in the State which culminated to the peaceful celebration of the Yuletide was as a result of the improved security of life and property by the Soludo administration, and called on Ndi Anambra living in other parts of the world to bring part of their investments home for enhanced development of Anambra State.

 

The President-General of Umuona community expressed satisfaction with the fatherly disposition of the traditional ruler of Umuona Igwe Sunday Ezeofor in piloting the affairs of the community and called on the people of Umuona to rally round him.
