It was a celebration of life as the families of Obierka in Akabor Village, Ojoto in ldemili South Council Area as friends and well-wishers from within and outside the state converged to bid fare well to late Chief Madam Beatrice Adaeze Obierika.

 

The Late Madam Obierika popularly known as Ojinuka Oli-Ife Umuagbala passed on at the age of ninety-five.

A pontifical High Mass held in her honour at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church, Ojoto was attended by the Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Reverend Dr. Valerian Okeke represented by Very Reverend Father Vincent Onuchukwu and Very Reverend Father Alloysius Ikekwe, the Episcopal Vicar Dunukofia Region.

 

Also, in attendance was, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Aguleri, Most Reverend Denis Isizoh represented by Very Rev. Father Fred Ndimene and other Priests, member representing Idemili North and South Federal constituency Honorable Uche Okonkwo, ASATU President, Barrister Titus Akpudo and many other Presidents General of town unions, among others.

The ABS Family in their numbers came to commiserate with their colleague Mr Festus Obierika.

 

The requiem Mass was officiated by Very Reverend Father Vincent Onuchukwu who described the life lived by the late Chief Madam Obierika as the epitome of humility, worthy of emulation by anyone who desires to align with the faith in Christ Jesus.

Delivery a homily to mark the burial, Reverend Father Paul Ejikeme who recounted the legacy of the deceased called on the family members not to allow the light brought in to their home by their late mother to dim.

Father Ejikeme urged the congregation to always do good no matter the circumstances they might find themselves.
