A visiting Priest at the Divine Mercy Chaplaincy, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Reverend Father Joshua Anaenye has challenged Christians to abide by God’s word for his grace to be sufficient for them.

 

Reverend Father Anaenye who stated this while celebrating mass said Christians should live their lives in line with the instructions and directives of Christ so as to welcome him fully.

He noted that the salvation is at hand therefore Christians should rejoice and hold onto their faith which matters most while advising that they should run away from unholy activities and focus on Christ.

 

At the Anglican Church of The Pentecost, Government House Awka, the preacher, Professor Chinonso Achebe whose sermon centered on “Men Ought Always to Pray’ said prayer is inevitable, part and parcel of Christianity because it is a channel through which they commune and petition to God.

Professor Achebe lamented that why many have little results is that they do not pray while many think they can achieve all by themselves, reminding them that Christ is all they need to be successful in life even as he outlined how prayers can be channeled to God.

 

On his part, the pastor in charge of Grace of God Mission, Araba-Umuzocha, Awka, Dr Tochukwu Onyeyili maintained that when Christians receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ, they are partaking and agreed with all that transpired during the last supper and death of Christ.

Dr Onyeyili asked the congregation to be like Christ to receive life eternal.
