The Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Mr ThankGod Anago has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo, for the empowerment of five thousand youths with two-billion-naira start-up grant under the one youth two skills empowerment initiative.
Mr Anago made the commendation after the graduation ceremony for the five thousand Anambra youths who were trained on different life-changing skills and vocations by the Anambra State Government.
The Awka North Boss specially thanked Governor Soludo for the two-billion-naira start-up capital released for onward distribution to the successful youths to start up their vocations and businesses.
According to Mr. Anago, the laudable gesture has once again demonstrated that Governor Soludo is a youth-friendly administrator that is running a youth-friendly government, and added that the largesse has taken five thousand Ndi Anambra out of the labour market for the overall benefit of the State.
Mr Anago called on the beneficiaries of the programme to make good use of the knowledge they have garnered and the financial support of the Governor to become self-reliant and successful economically, and in turn, add to the Gross Domestic Product of Anambra State in no distant time.
While appealing to all the youths and youth organizations in Anambra State to throw their support behind the administration of Governor. Soludo, Mr. Anago re-stated his plans to domesticate the Soludo one youth two skills empowerment programme for youths in Awka North Local Government Area.
