Orumba South Council Hall and an ultramodern canteen, reconstructed and renovated by the Transition Committee Chairman, Prince Neville Uchendu, have been unveiled.

 

The unveiling of the buildings at the council secretariat Umunze, many APGA stalwarts, who defected to other political parties were welcomed back to APGA fold in a grand style.

In his remark, a former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Emeka Sibeudu, said the events represented trust and commitment required to support good works of the Soludo administration, and expressed happiness that Orumba is part and parcel of the Soludo administration, and thanked Prince Uchendu for improving infrastructures on ground.

Speaking before the unveiling , the state Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Honourable Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, who promised to renovate the administrative block of the council secretariat in less than two months, explained that the Soludo administration has declared war on dilapidated infrastructure in the state, adding that in two years in office, it would have outperformed previous administrations.

 

Welcoming the returnees, APGA State Chairman, Barrister Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, who assured that all APGA members will be given equal and better opportunity in the party in order to give Governor Soludo the needed support to succeed and APGA the strength to expand, also remarked that rebranding the party along the vision of Governor Soludo requires discipline.

The member representing Orumba South Constituency in the state assembly, Honourable Emma Nwafor, and an APGA Chieftain in the area, Chief Ogechukwu Nduche, said with good people as transition committee chairmen, and support of party members, Governor Soludo’s vision in governance will be easily achieved.

 

For Orumba South Local Government APGA Chairman, Honourable Chike Nwafor, and Mr. Sam Oguagbaka, on behalf of Residents General in Orumba South, thanked Governor Soludo for the ongoing Ufuma-Awa-Ndiukwuenu-Amansea Road project that makes it easier to connect to Awka.

 

On his part, Prince Uchendu, who explained that the two projects executed by his administration at the council received tremendous assistance and full support of Governor Soludo through the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, also thanked the Governor for all the road projects and agricultural revolution in Orumba South council area.
