The Parish Priest, Saint Peters Church Nkwele-Awka, Reverend Father Donatus Isiegbue, has defined the body and blood of Jesus Christi as the center of christian worship.

 

Reverend Father Isiegbue, who stated this in a homily during a Holy Mass of the feast of solemnity of Corpus Christi, said God gave Christ as a special gift to humanity for them to unite with one another and bring their souls to God.

 

He reminded christians that as they receive the body and blood of Jesu Christ, they should love one another, look out for them in time of trouble, help the poor and eschew rancor, bitterness, envy and other forms of immoralities while prophesying Christ everywhere they are.

 

At Saint Mary’s Anglican Church Nkwele-Awka, the Vicar, Reverend Canon Sunday Ike, called for fervent prayers and repentance from christians to meet the present situation in the society .

 

Reverend Canon Ike, whose message centered on “Where repentance meets prayers”, maintained that its only prayer that can salvage and redeem all from circumstances of life and hardships staring people at the face.

 

He therefore encouraged all to abide by the word of God and allow it to internalize.

 

Also at Saint Stephen’s Church Ifitedunu, the Vicar, Reverend Canon Charles Chukwurah, x-rayed the importance of sacrifice and arms giving assuring that they attract more blessings.

 

Reverend Canon Chukwurah, maintained that they should look unto their flocks as good Shepards, who sought for all entrusted in their care.

 

Prayers and thanksgiving climaxed the Holy Mass and services covered.
