A priest at Saint Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Nodu-Okpuno in Awka South Local Government Area, Reverend Father Fidelis Odunukwe says God’s directive of exercising patience with one another when offended seems not to be working again.

 

Reverend Father Odunukwe who stated this in a homily said as things are going on in the society, people bullying and killing each other for a mere provocation is not what is expected from Christians.

He encouraged the parishioners to always say the truth and abstain from sin and vote wisely during this Saturday’s election as who they voted for will determine if the country will be repositioned or not.

 

At Saint Mary’s Anglican Church, Nkwelle-Awka, the vicar, Reverend Canon Sunday Ike called for total repentance for the mercy of God to abide with the faithful.

Reverend Canon Ike disclosed that challenges facing Nigeria were caused by envy, greed and sin, saying that Nigerians will seek the face of God through prayers and fasting and being at the righteous part.

 

Meanwhile, the General Overseer of Zion Praise International Center, Amawbia, Apostle Joe Nwokoye said that Jesus Christ is the answer to all situations calling for total surrender and submission to His will.

Apostle Nwokoye asked eligible voters to vote for candidates that will deliver.
