An Ultra-modern Hotel the Boston Hill Suites and Hotels has been inaugurated for business at Umuoji in idemili North Local Government Area.

 

The inaugural ceremony which attracted the people of Umuoji, friends and well-wishers was held at Achallagu Village Umuoji.

The Regent of Umuoji community Chief Chris Nnedum and members of his cabinet, top government functionaries as well as people in the diaspora were at the event.

 

Speaking to the ABS, the Hotel proprietor Dr. Victor Okoye said the gesture was to demonstrate his passion in promoting culture and tourism as requested by the Governor Chukwuma Soludo as well as contributing his quota towards developing tourism in Umuoji.

Chief Okoye explained that he decided to invest in his home town in order to help create jobs for the teeming youths of Umuoji who are job seekers, as well as assist the government in their efforts to cushion the effects of unemployment in the country.

 

He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s efforts in transforming the state, by intervening in all sectors of the State economy including culture and tourism, road network, healthcare delivery among others and called on Ndi Anambra to continue with their support to enable him actualize his lofty dreams for the state while calling on other affluent citizens of the state to always channel their resources towards impacting lives positively.

The Regent of Umuoji, Chief Nnedum and former President-General of the town, Chief Festus Onyima pointed out that Dr Okoye has the zeal for human development describing him as a developer, and a philanthropist, whose disposition in attracting development and assisting humanity remains unparalleled while encouraging him to sustain the tempo.

 

The wife of the Hotel proprietor Barrister Winnie Okoye described her husband as an initiator and human developer.

A one-time Commissioner for Information in Anambra States Mr Tony Onyima among others extolled Dr Okoye for his developmental strides and called on other affluent individuals in the town to emulate him.
