A cross section of Traditional Rulers in Awka North Council Area have commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for inaugurating and commencing work on Awba-Ofemili-Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbenu-Ugbene road.

 

The traditional Rulers among whom were the Traditional Ruler of Awba-Ofemili, Igwe Ezekwesili Madugbuna, his Ebenebe counterpart, Igwe Christopher Nnaegbune, his Ugbenu counterpart, Igwe Lawrence Egwuonwu and that of Ugbene, Igwe Sampson Chimaka expressed appreciation to the Governor for giving a new lease of life to people of the area by awarding the twenty-six kilometers road.

 

Lending their voices, the Traditional Rulers of Urum, Igwe Benedict Okafor-Nweke, his Amanuke counterpart, Igwe Alphonsus Ezebuilo and that of Achalla, Igwe Ositadinma Nwokedi said that the road which will have a life span of twenty years and would be completed in six months, will be of great relief to them as they can now move freely within and outside their communities.

 

They also thanked Governor Soludo for choosing a reputable company to do the project and also thanked the Commissioner for Works, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma for aiding in the process.
