Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, says Governor Soludo’s administration is determined to entrench functional and efficient Primary Health Care Centres across the state.

 

Dr. Obidike stated this while commissioning the renovated Community Reproductive Referral Health Centre, Oroma Etiti Anam, Anambra West Local Government Area.

Commissioning the hospital renovated by Oroma Etiti Anam Progressives Forum, Dr. Obidike said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is determined to entrench an efficient and functional Primary Heath Care Centres across the State, as according to him, the centres would help to deliver quick medical services to the people in rural communities.

 

The Health Commissioner, who thanked the forum for the good gesture, urged Ndi Oroma Etiti Anam to enroll into the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme for them to be receiving medical services with ease at all times.

The state Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Honourable Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, who is an indigene of the community, urged other communities to emulateOroma Etiti Anam Progressives Forum for sustainable development of the state, and assured that the Soludo administration will continue to deliver on its mandate.

 

In their various remarks, the Chairman of Oroma Etiti Anam Progressives Forum, Mr. Sylvester Ozoemena, and a member of the forum, who is also a media consultant, Mr. Basil Okeke, revealed that members bought hospital beds, examination beds, delivery mats, thermometer, malaria kits, blood pressure kits, among others, and appealed to the state government to assist the hospital in building doctor’s quarters, more wards, provision of ambulance, among other things.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Felix Ikechi, and the President General of Oroma Etiti Anam, Barrister Basil Nwabunwanne, equally spoke at the event.
