The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor, says Governor Chukwuma Soludo has made practical efforts within four months in office to step up development in all sectors of the state economy.
In his goodwill message to the Governor on his sixty-second birthday on behalf of the state legislature, Right Honourable Uche Okafor noted that Governor Soludo has used his professional training as a renowned Professor of Economics in ensuring prudent management of the state’s resources for the benefit of the citizenry.
The Speaker recounted some of the accomplishments of Governor Soludo so far to include the ongoing massive employment of teachers, construction of the Awka-Amansea-Ugwuoba road, increase in the twenty-million-naira Community-Choose-Your-Project programme to twenty-five-million-naira, persistent fight against insecurity, as well as improvement in sanitation in the state, among others.
He maintained that the state legislature has resolved to continue to support Governor Soludo’s development efforts through enactment of people -oriented laws and resolutions, and called on politicians in the state, irrespective of party affiliations, to join hands with the Governor in moving the state forward.
Right Honourable Okafor, while wishing Governor Soludo more eventful years ahead, prayed God to continue to strengthen him for more accomplishments.
