Aspire Football Club of Adazi-Ani were held to a draw by Udala Football Club in their first fixture of the 2022 National Division one season.
The match was played at Awka City Stadium.
In a post-match interview with the ABS, the Manager of Aspire Football Club, Mr. Austin Okoye and Chief Martin Ekwusi of Udala Football Club commended their players for their determination and passion throughout the game and hoped for better results in their next fixtures.
They, however, disagreed with some aspects of the officiating and accused the officials of being biased and inexperienced which, they said affected the match, asking for more training and retraining of referees.
For the Chairman Anambra Independent Football League Reverend Father Obinna Dike and a football lover Mr. Ikeobi Ejiofor the result of the match clearly shows a bright future for the State and thanked the government of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in the State for constructing the stadium complex.
