Anambra State is set to receive awards in four different categories at the 2021 President’s Teachers and Schools’ Excellence Award holding at Eagles Square Abuja today , Tuesday fifth October 2021.
The event is part of the 2021 World Teachers Day celebration.
The award-winning teachers are Nwoye Njide Chiamaka, Nnabeze Bridget M, Nzekwe Amaka Azuka and Nwankwo Ifeoma who would receive on behalf of the award-winning school, Akpakogwe Central School Ogidi.
Recall that Anambra State had in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 consecutively won similar awards.
Reacting to the development, the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha noted that the series of awards won by the State over the years, results from the passion of Governor Obiano for the provision of value-based Education.
Commissioner Omenugha stated that Governor Obiano’s commitment for the welfare of teachers elicited their dedication which brought about the series of awards.
