The member representing Orumba North Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Emeka Aforka has described Professor Charles Soludo as a technocrat with global networks required to turn Anambra into a model state with opportunities for all.

 

Honourable Aforka who played host to the former Central Bank Governor in his home town in Ndiowuu, Orumba North Local Government Area, gave his unalloyed support to Professor Soludo’s aspiration.

 

Political Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that the country home of Honourable Aforka was full of life and activities as political heavy weights of Orumba North Local Government Area were around and threw their weight behind Professor Soludo’s aspiration.

While receiving Professor Soludo and his team to his home, Honourable Aforka said that Anambra State has recorded unprecedented development under Governor Willie Obiano and needs a very exposed person like Professor Soludo to sustain the good works of Governor Obiano in the state.

 

He announced that Orumba North Local Government Area was suffering from epileptic power supply before Governor Obiano came to office and boosted power supply to the communities in the area through the Oji River.

 

On his part, Professor Soludo said Governor Obiano has laid a solid foundation for him to realise his vision for the state,assuring that he will use his global networks and wealth of experience to turn around the economic fortunes of the state if elected.

 

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Chief Ifeatu Obiokoye called on the people of Orumba North to key into the vision of Professor Soludo for the state by supporting his aspiration.

 

In their separate speeches, the Transition Committee Chairman, Orumba North Local Government Area, Mrs Ify Obynabo and the Chaiman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance for Orumba Local Government Area, Mr Alphonsus Mogboo also used the occasion to commit to the cause of the former Apex bank boss.

 

The occasion was attended by some members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Traditional rulers in Orumba North and South Local Government Areas among others.
