The remains of the Late Chief Hyacinth John Chukwube have been laid to rest at his compound Umuezeawala village Ihiala, in Ihiala Local Government Area.

The Late Chief  Chukwube died at the aged Ninety-four.

Queen Anigbogu reports that the burial mass which took place at Christ the King Catholic Church, attracted family members, Church leaders among whom were Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor of Awka Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend Hillary Okeke of Nnewi Catholic Diocese, the religious, Knights and Ladies of Saint Mulumba, friends, associates among others.

In his homily during the mass, a visiting Priest, Reverend Father Hygienus Epunam,   charged the faithful to always let their lifestyle show people that they are the children of God.

Speaking with the ABS, the first son of the deceased, Chief Ody Chukwube, a former Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju described his father as a special person who was so much loved by God and lived a remarkable life.

He promised to use his position as the first son to continue to unite the family through brotherhood and solidarity.

In their separate remarks, another son of the deceased, Mr Chijioke Chukwube, his daughter Mrs Lilian Orji, his daughter in-law, Lady Ijeoma Chukwube, appreciated all the people who came to commiserate with them.

Also speaking, the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C-Don Adinuba, who is also a relative to the deceased, asked the children to uphold the legacy of service to God and humanity which their late father was known for.

In his comment, the traditional ruler of Isseke, Igwe Emmanuel Nnabuife, expressed optimism that the death of late Chief Chukwube will not affect the unity of the children since they were properly groomed in the Catholic doctrine.

Speaking later , the Grand Knight of the Saint Mulumba of Onitsha Metropolitan, Sir Oliver Obiano, described the deceased as a mentor and a motivator.

Condolence visits, group dance of various kinds among others, featured during the event.
