Anambra State government says its attention has been drawn to the activities of some groups of individuals operating under unrecognized and outlawed tipper drivers association in the State who are spreading malicious lies and falsehood against the State government to tipper drivers in the State in particular and the public in general.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transport Dr Emman Ude- Akpeh says the intention of those behind the wicked lies and falsehood is to cause disaffection among the tipper drivers and to incite the drivers into taking actions capable of breaching the existing peace, safety and security which Anambra State is known for.

According to the statement Anambra State government has not imposed fourteenth thousand naira levy on the drivers  of tipper vehicles in the State and urged the general public especially tipper drivers to disregard such rumors.

It reiterated the proscription and prohibition of all the activities of the Great Tipper Drivers Association in the State through Executive order number three made by Governor Willie Obiano.

It requested all security agencies in the State to ensure that the peace and security being enjoyed by Ndi Anambra and residents in the State is not threatened or breached in any way by outlawed and unrecognized groups.

The release reminded all tipper drivers in the State that anyone seen associating with the proscribed shall be severely dealt with in accordance with the law.
