A former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and frontline stakeholder of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Professor Charles Soludo, has continued his consultations and soliciting the support of major stakeholders of the party.

 

Professor Soludo recently met with APGA Youth and Women Leaders, Ward Chairmen and their Secretaries from the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the State.

 

Receiving the party faithful, the State Chairman of the party, Sir Nobert Obi who spoke through the Secretary, Barrister Tony Ifeanya, said  that the November 2021 poll is a challenge that must be surmounted by APGA.

 

He urged party members to remain supportive to the cause of delivering the party’s mandate, urging them to hit the ground running with grassroots mobilization and reconciliation of members to ensure that the party comes out stronger.

 

The member representing Anaocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka Federal Constituency,  Honorable Dozie Nwankwo  said that Professor Soludo’s intellect and progressive mindedness have been tested and trusted, hence his decision to support him.

 

For the member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Chief Chinedu Obidigwe, all members of the party must intensify efforts to maintain the brotherliness in the party, stand firm with one vision and eschew bitterness in order for APGA to remain the party to beat at any point in time.

 

Addressing the grassroot political stalwarts, Professor Soludo said that the November poll is a critical one, as it would define both the future of Anambra State, as well as that of APGA as a political platform.

 

The former CBN governor stated that Governor Willie Obiano has laid a solid foundation for a greater future.

 

The leader of Chairmen of all the Local Government Areas, Mr. Chinedu Uchey acknowledged that APGA as a political party has recorded tremendous achievements which can sell the party at any time.

 

Others present at the occasion were Deputy Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Honorable Paschal Agbodike, the traditional ruler of Nteje, Igwe Roland Odegbo , Chief Ben Obi, Honorable Ifeanyi Ibezi, a former Deputy Governor of the State, Chief Emeka Sibeudu, among others.
