The Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion has inaugurated a twelve man member board, for its Advent Cable Network of Nigeria, ACNN.
Performing the ceremony, the Primate, Church of Nigeria, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba charged the members to use ACNN as a tool for evangelism through appropriate programming and balanced reportage.
Ekwi Ajide of our Abuja Bureau reports that the Primate urged the Board members made up of veteran broadcasters and journalists, to apply their wealth of experience in making the network a sought-after in search of truth and facts.
Primate Ndukuba, urged them to be mindful of the fact that television wields strong influence on the public and as such, most be used with utmost care.
In an interview with the ABS, some members of the Board, including the chairman, Sir Folusho Olamiti, Mrs. Ritmwa Iwuh, Mr. Olarewaju Lasisi, Engineer Korede Akintunde and Mrs. Joy Mbachi, promised to bring their experience in journalism and broadcasting to bear on discharging their duties and promised to utilize the assignment to win more souls for Christ, promote peace and unity in Nigeria.
