Onitsha Unit Commander, FRSC, Mr. Dada Ulea says the command has intensified efforts towards ensuring free flow of traffic at Bridge head and other strategic points in Onitsha Metropolis.

Mr. Ulea who spoke to ABS reporter, Oggorchukwu Oranu in Onitsha, said FRSC officials are deployed to major junctions and strategic points like the Upper Iweka where they have an outpost, Borromew roundabout among others, considering the volume of vehicular movement in the commercial city.

The Onitsha FRSC Unit Commander unveiled that they have started impounding rickety vehicles in accordance with the directive from the FRSC Corps Marshal for them to commence immediate removal of rickety vehicles fromĀ  Nigeria’s road intimating that the idea is for a safer highway.

He advised vehicle owners especially commercial bus drivers to avoid overloading as the fine for defaulters is ten thousand naira even as he urged drivers to get the high way code booklet that contains all the traffic rules to help themĀ understand traffic signs, how to maintain their vehicles and above all, to go to driving school before handling any vehicle.
